Three things to know about Christopher

Technology

Christopher grew up around technology. When he was eight years old, his dad, who worked in the telecommunications industry and had a knack for creating databases, brought home the family’s first computer. At first, Christopher mostly used the computer to play video games. Eventually, the addition of a dial-up modem enabled him to meet new friends in neighboring towns.

Inspired by the way technology could be used to create relationships, Christopher passionately pursued a career in the industry, working first as a telephone-system installer and later as an information technology consultant. Christopher eventually became the IT director for a large international organization.

Learning

Christopher loves the act of creating and writing. He created a neighborhood association in the Los Angeles suburb he calls home, with the vision of creating a safe, clean, and welcoming neighborhood for all. He is often found writing anything from newsletters for his local neighbors to articles and finished his first book in 2022!

Christopher is also an advocate for creating opportunities for transformation, which he believes can be found at the intersection of education and technology.

Creating and writing

Christopher is an avid proponent of education. In his mid-twenties, he enrolled at Boston’s Northeastern University. His time there was transformational and awoke in him a great love of higher education and learning.

He still spends a lot of time taking online courses and reading on his Kindle.

Combining his passion for technology and learning, Christopher is now leading a technology team at the largest four-year university system in the United States.
